Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Room Leader

As a Room Leader, you will manage a team of early years practitioners, designing a stimulating and safe room layout that promotes active, play-based learning. You will take key worker responsibilities for a group of children, planning age-appropriate EYFS activities, tracking their development milestones, and providing feedback to parents. Safeguarding children in your care will be your highest priority.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for Room Leader positions, you must possess:

• Qualifications: Certified Level 3 childcare qualification (NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent).
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years experience working in an early years setting, with experience as a key person or leading a room.
• Vetting Check: A clear Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
• Compliance: Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding procedures, and pediatric first aid.
